Dr. Farid Azizian Joins MAGC as Director of Technology Effective January 1, 2002, Dr. Farid Azizian (CChem FRSC), formerly Senior Research Scientist at Alcan Chemicals, who developed the Alcan AA FS-50 technology, became the Director of Technology for MAGC. This is an important milestone for MAGC, as it gives MAGC the capability to develop technology, as well as market it. It is viewed as a win-win-win situation for MAGC, Alcan and the people afflicted by the arsenic and fluoride crises, as it will allow Dr. Azizian to devote all of his talents and energies to water remediation technology. MAGC and Alcan are committed to global leadership in water technology.		PHED - West Bengal On 15thMarch, 2002, the Public Health Engineering Directorate of West Bengal, India awarded MAGC, via it's India affilate, RPM Marketing PVT. Ltd., an initial order for 230 arsenic treatment units to be deployed as part of the initial phase of its arsenic remediation programme to provide safe drinking water at thousands of well sites in West Bengal. MAGC/RPM was awarded approximately 1/3 of the total well sites to be treated under this initial order.
