Our main unit, MAGC-1 is the most efficient arsenic removal system consisting of two trapezoidal, high strength fiberglass tanks that are placed side by side under an existing contaminated tube well. The tanks have a warranty of 5 years and a useful life of 15-20 years.

The first tank is placed directly under the tube wellhead and is connected to the second tank by a pipe and a flow meter that records the number of liters of water processed. It also comes with a built in 'back-wash' mechanism together with bolt and lock for security.

Kolkata, West Bengal, India Due to it's excellent flow rate of 300 liters/hr and a capacity to deliver 3,600 liters of water within a 12-hour period, one unit should serve a community of up to 100 families.

To operate the system, tube well water is simply pumped using a hand pump in to the first tank where it goes through the media to the bottom and on to the second tank through the connecting pipe and flow meter. Once in the second tank, the water then travels through the media again, to the top where a faucet delivers arsenic free water.

To collect arsenic free water for drinking and cooking, one just has to place a container on the ground under the faucet, open it and pump as much water as the user wants - it is that simple! The system's ingenious design also provides for a 'by pass channel', through which the users can pump as much unprocessed water as they need for their washing, bathing and other day-to-day need.

To make the best arsenic removal technology available and affordable to all sections of the community, we have successfully introduced a single-family unit (MAGC-2). This low cost unit consisting of 2 plastic buckets mounted on a stand, should still supply a minimum of 10,950 liters of treated water, enough for one family (4 - 5 members) for one year.

To get arsenic free water; the user simply has to pour contaminated tube well water in to the red bucket (on top) and literally see the water flow in to the green bucket (on the bottom), where a faucet delivers arsenic free water. MAGC-2 can deliver in excess of 300 liters of treated water daily, which can serve up to 10 families if required.

The MAGC-3 is a simple and low cost system consisting of two plastic buckets (instead of the fiberglass tanks in MAGC-1), which has the same features, flow rate and capacity as our main unit. With proper care and maintenance, the unit should have a useful life of 3-5 years.
